Good afternoon United Church family,
It appears that the much hyped and long awaited snow is finally arriving. Hope you are tucked in for the next couple of days. As you probably know, we are doing Zoom only worship tomorrow. Since we are all pretty well familiar with it, it didn’t seem to make sense to open the church building tomorrow, especially if the forecasters are anywhere near correct on the snow amounts!
A couple of bits of information for you:
- It is daylight savings time. Tonight is a spring forward.
- It was brought to my attention last week that Clear Creek County has moved to the color ‘Blue’ on the Covid scale. This means, in part, that restaurants can now do in-house seating at 75%. This also applies to our worship gatherings. As things continue to relax, with this move and more people being vaccinated, please give some thought to joining us for in-person worship, if you haven’t already. We are still taking precautions, with face-coverings and social distancing. We are working on the live music piece. Hoping, that before too long we will be back where we were.
I do know that Zoom is very convenient and personally, having some of my family and a few friends able to join is really nice. We will more than likely continue with Zoom. Tomorrow, we will be back into our journey through I Timothy. This week, we look at the Apostle Paul’s charge to his young disciple (I Timothy 1:18-20) and see what his words have to say to us in our spiritual journey.
Looking forward to seeing you!
