A Word from Pastor Bill 1/29/21

Hello my United Church family.  Grace, mercy and peace to you from our good and great Heavenly Father!

I got my ‘booster’ (second) vaccine shot Wednesday morning.  It was quite the logistical operation there at the EMS building in Dumont.  We drove up for the shot and they administered it to me in the car!  They warned of side effects with this one worse than the first one.  I was a bit anxious about that but feel very grateful today that the effects I experienced were quite mild.

On that note (not necessarily because I have been vaccinated) we will be starting in person worship again on February 7!!  We will continue to offer Zoom like we did in the summer.  We certainly hope and pray that as the year moves along the restrictions and all or our comfort level will improve.

And, just a reminder that we have started into the New Testament book of I Timothy. The first message focused on Paul’s greeting to his young disciple with the great words of encouragement about God’s immense grace, mercy and peace which are always available to us.  This coming Sunday we will be talking about a path to love and how it is related to a proper understanding of and use of the Law.  Looking forward to seeing and it is our annual meeting on Sunday.
